He grew tobacco and hand rolled perfect cigars in Cuba for Monte Cristo, Romeo y Julieta and Cohiba. He then fled Cuba and while in Miami, Florida rolled for Don Tito, La Gloria Cubana and eventually started CAONAO cigars with his partners. Tony knows cigars. He sold his interest in that company and went to Esteli, Nicaragua to open his own small factory. His cigars are all totally made by hand, and many he makes himself. Tony only uses the best habano wrappers, binders and fillers. As in the traditional cuban cigar factory, cigars do not leave his factory until he personally inspects them. I wasn't setting my expectations too high due to the ridiculous price that you were selling them for. I received them three days ago and was pleasantly surprised with their appearance. They were constructed well and were rolled nice and firm. After only 24 hours of settling in my humidor, i took one out and tried the draw, deliberate , but very smokeable. When i lit one, i was blown away by the wonderful taste and aroma of the smoke. It burned evenly throughout and didn't show any hint of harshness. This cigar is a finger burner, because you'll find yourself smoking it down to the nub. Despite it's "value" price, i found this extremely enjoyable and one that's earned its way into my daily rotation. Subject :: Tony alvarez habano I enjoyed the flavor and the draw. My only complaint is the burn. It ran on the burn. I was constantly trying to even the burn out.
